Tailored Texture Tweed Jacket - Available up to 3X

I'm always on the lookout for versatile plus size jackets, like
this tweed texture jacket from Coldwater Creek. A sure fire way to look polished and put together is to wear a jacket that complements your outfit. Notice I didn't say 'match'. The most important thing is the fit. A general rule of thumb is that if your pants or skirt flow away from the body, then you want to wear a jacket that is more fitted to the body. Likewise, if your pants or skirt are cut close to the body, you can choose a jacket with a little more relaxed fit.
After you choose a style, then pick a color or pattern that either matches the colors in your outfit, or contrasts. When you match colors, they don't have to be exact, just in the same color family. For instance, you could wear a lilac boucle jacket with a solid purple top. To contrast, combine a light with a dark, a solid with a pattern or a bright with a neutral. You can even be brave and mix patterns, as long as one is much more subdued than the other, and the color families are the same.
